CalderSafe® Mobile is the latest technology available to acquire weld data from the job site without manually downloading directly from the Electrofusion Welder. The weld data is automatically sent to our App on your mobile device by using Bluetooth connectivity.
The information including images of the prepared and clamped Electrofusion fitting is then sent to pre-configured email addresses of your choice. The weld data contains vital information that can be read using the CalderSafe® Weld Data Analyser software from any global location. This provides quality assurance and verification for completed welds before any reinstatement works are carried out reducing risks of failed welds and unnecessary reworks.
The CalderSafe® Mobile App has been designed to redirect all weld data to pre-configured emails through Caldervale Technology’s dedicated server and is available as a free download from Google Play. Information is not stored or seen by any other person other than the recipients of email addresses.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is CalderSafe®?
CalderSafe® is a real-time data acquisition system; a means to capture and send electrofusion data on a per-weld basis so that you can oversee and approve joints from a distance.
How does the CalderSafe® system work?
The system comprises of a smartphone app, our relay server and the Weld Analyser PC app. The app pairs with an electrofusion welding unit via Bluetooth so that it can receive welding data from the unit. GPS location and photographic evidence are captured by the app, combined with the data into a CZIP file and relayed to an email address of your choice.
How do I open the CZIP data file?
Firstly you must have the CalderSafe® Weld Data Analyser program installed on your computer. The CZIP file will arrive as an attachment in an email, just double click the attachment and the Weld Analyser program will start up and decode the data. The welding data and entered operator data can be viewed alongside a map of the location, a detailed graph and photographs of the job done.
What platforms does CalderSafe® run on?
The CalderSafe® app is currently available for Android smartphones and the Weld Analyser PC program runs on Windows. We are also in the early stages of developing an iOS application for iPhone.
How do I pair the app with the welding unit?
Start the CalderSafe® Android app on your phone. Press “Scan for devices” which will show a list of the nearby Bluetooth devices. Select the ID that matches the welding units’ Bluetooth ID e.g. CalderSafe-1234. This may also be shown as RNBT-1234 on older units. If the phone asks you to confirm an authentication code, select OK.
I’m having trouble Bluetooth pairing the app with the unit, what can I do?
If the welding unit and app won’t connect successfully; please try going to the phone’s settings menu, to the Bluetooth setting menu. Scan for devices and pair with the welding unit here, then return back to the CalderSafe® App where you will now be able to connect to the welding unit.
